Take off on a magical summer adventure!

Step into the world of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with our extraordinary new exhibition, celebrating Ian Fleming’s iconic tale like never before. See over 80 original illustrations, including, for the very first time, the complete set by legendary artist John Burningham, created 60 years ago.

Be dazzled by vibrant new artwork for young and teen audiences by Steve Antony and Thomas Gilbert, many never seen before. This immersive, family-friendly exhibition features playful displays where Chitty ‘flies’ across the walls, a selfie station, and even an outdoor trail inspired by the book’s most unforgettable characters.

For older fans, dive into the remarkable story behind the story; explore Ian Fleming’s writing process, rare typescripts, Daily Express clippings, and personal letters with the real-life inspiration behind the fabulous flying car.

Whether you’re 6 or 60+, this is a summer experience you won’t want to miss.

The trail and exhibition start on the 19 July and are running over the summer holidays. The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang trail will finish on 7 September, but the exhibition in the house will continue until 2 November
